How TruePane Windows & Doors Came to Coral Gables
TruePane Windows & Doors had been doing things the hard way, the right way, since 2008. When we opened our Coral Gables location, we didn’t come in with a splash. We came in with a level, a tape measure, and a quiet conviction that this city deserved better than what it had been getting.
We’d heard the same stories you’ve heard from neighbors over the fence. A window that fogged up two years after install and a warranty that somehow covered neither the glass nor the labor. An opening measured wrong, shimmed to death, and caulked so thick you could see it from the street. One homeowner in the Gables waited months for a door that arrived the wrong size, and got told it was close enough. That sort of thing sits wrong with us. It always has.
When we decided Coral Gables needed a TruePane branch, we didn’t rush it. We took our time finding local installers who already understood what humidity and hurricane season do to an opening. We looked for people who measured twice because they hate callbacks as much as the homeowner hates having them back. The brand’s rule has been the same since Dale Kessler first put it on the whiteboard years ago: if the pane is not true, the job is not done. Coral Gables deserved a team that believed it.
Dale Kessler’s Personal Connection to the Windows & Doors Trade
Dale Kessler grew up around glass. His father was a glazier, and some of Dale’s earliest memories are of riding along in a truck with a rack of panes strapped in the back, the smell of glazing compound and a thermos of coffee up front. He was the kid holding the end of the tape before he could legally drive. By the time he could, he was cutting glass, setting stops, and learning that the difference between a window that closes on a cold night and one that doesn’t is often an eighth of an inch nobody sees.
He stayed in it because the work made sense to him in a way few things do. A window is either true or it isn’t. A door either closes square or it rubs. There’s no arguing with a level. He liked that honesty. He liked that when you do the job right, the homeowner never has to think about it again, and when you do it wrong, they think about it every single day. That kind of accountability suited him.
Over the years, working as part of a general contracting crew, Dale watched windows get treated as an afterthought. Installs rushed at the end of a job. The cheapest units pulled off the shelf. Nobody measuring twice. And then he’d get the callbacks, the work other crews didn’t want to fix, the homeowners who’d been told something was fine when it clearly wasn’t. It bothered him. It turned into a conviction. He kept a level in his truck door and a simple rule in his head: the pane is true or you don’t leave. That conviction became the company. It’s still the thing that gets him out of bed, and if he weren’t doing this, he’d probably be in the truck anyway, finding something else to measure.
Meet Dale Kessler - The Person Behind Every Job
Dale Kessler is the Owner & Founder of TruePane Windows & Doors. He’s a second-generation glazier who has spent his working life around windows and doors, learning the trade from the kind of people who say what they mean and measure before they cut. His background is in the field, not in a boardroom. He has run crews, worked the truck, and stood behind too many installs to keep count.
What makes Dale different from a technician who shows up with a polo shirt and a corporate script is simple: he still believes the work matters. He’ll talk through window lines side by side on paper because he thinks you should see the numbers yourself. He’ll register both layers of your warranty before the truck leaves the driveway because he doesn’t want you digging through a drawer later. And when he’s not working, he’s the kind of person who fixes things properly around his own house, because the thought of a door that sticks in his own hallway would keep him up at night. He treats your home the way he treats his own. That’s not a slogan. It’s how he’s wired.
Our Promise to Coral Gables Homeowners
We carry the Keystone Standard into every home we visit in Coral Gables. It’s a promise our brand has kept since 2008, and it boils down to four values we call K.E.Y.S.
Krafted right means trained journeymen, proper materials, and no shortcuts because the humidity here will find a shortcut in about two summers. Every time means the four hundredth job gets the same care as the first one, because our reputation in Pinecrest and Kendall depends on the last install we finished. Your home first means we work in your house the way we’d work in our mother’s house. Standing behind it means if something isn’t right, we come back. No paperwork, no arguing. That’s the whole deal.
Our Credentials
- State-licensed: every pro working under our name is required to hold the license their state requires for window and door installation.
- Insured & bonded: we carry the coverage homeowners should expect before anyone climbs a ladder on their property.
- Rooted in the trade since 2008: the brand has been measuring, setting, and standing behind openings for nearly two decades.
- Strong local reputation: the neighbors we’ve worked for in Coral Gables and the surrounding communities are the best reference we have.
A license means the person in your home answered to a standards board before they ever knocked on your door. Insurance means an accident on your property doesn’t become your problem. Experience means the installer has seen what a bad opening looks like and knows how to avoid it. None of it replaces the simple fact that we intend to be in this city thirty years from now, answering the phone with a person.
Rooted in Coral Gables
We serve Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Olympia Heights, Coral Terrace, Glenvar Heights, Key Biscayne, South Miami, Palmetto Bay, West Miami, Kendall, Sunset, and Westchester. The homes here were built to hold up to the weather, but their openings are only as good as the person who set them. We hire local, train our people patiently, and answer the phone with a person because a company that plans to be around in thirty years acts like it.
